My name is Kimling Toro. I run a YouTube channel dedicated to transformation sequences, where a community of over 7,000 subscribers gathers to watch, discuss, and celebrate these moments. One video alone has reached over a million views, which tells me something I already suspected: these sequences matter to people.
I created MagiDaily because I wanted something that didn’t exist yet. There are plenty of places to watch transformations. But there was no single archive that catalogued them—by series, by year, by medium, by character—and treated them as objects worthy of serious study. I wanted a space where an animator could find reference material, where a researcher could trace how transformation choreography evolved across decades, and where a fan could follow one character’s journey through every version of her story.
This site is a personal project, but it is not a casual one. Every entry is tagged, sourced, and placed within a growing digital library. The goal is historical curation: preserving these sequences not just as nostalgic clips, but as a record of what the genre achieved and how it changed.
The magical girl genre shaped my childhood. It taught me that transformation is possible, that vulnerability and strength can coexist, and that beauty is worth taking seriously.
